In a twin screw extruder, vacuum vent is generally located before the metering zone for removal of gases effectively in a continuous manner at lower than atmospheric pressure. This degassing helps to conserve the quality of the melt that is affected by the presence of monomers, solvents, moisture and other volatiles.


Side vacuum pumping machine are used for the following reasons:

1. In the process of polymer reaction and mixing, it is usually necessary to remove a large number of volatile components, such as water vapor, low molecular products, monomers, and easily crystallized substances. During operation, there is often melt material from the exhaust port or the exhaust port is blocked due to cooling and scaling, which affects the normal operation of the main engine. This problem can be solved by using the extrusion ability, self-cleaning ability and the completely open channel along the axial direction of the fully meshing coaxial twin-screw extruding material. Cooperate with the vacuum system to push the spilled material back to the main machine while removing volatile matter, so as to achieve the purpose of removing volatiles and the main machine running for a long time stably, reduce the downtime, reduce labor costs, improve product purity, reduce black spots, optimize the production capacity and process operating parameters.
